Amy H. Johnson owns The Angle Solutions LLC, a consulting firm with offices in the US and abroad that strategizes with law firms to improve case values.  Amy has more than 20 years of experience in the legal field, mostly focused in the areas of catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and complex civil litigation.  Throughout her career she has mentored paralegals of all levels.  She was honored as AAJ's National Paralegal of the Year in 2017 and an Unsung Legal Hero by Lawyers Weekly in 2022.  She remains committed to improving legal education through teaching courses in Business Law and Organizational Leadership for an international university, serving on the Trident Technical College Advisory Board for its Paralegal Studies Program, and offering career skill workshops in Central America.  Amy earned her BA cum laude from Wake Forest University and graduated as a distinguished scholar with her MS in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University.

Gary M. Cannon was appointed Executive Director of the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission in March 2009. As Executive Director, Mr. Cannon oversees the business operations of the Commission's five functional departments: Administration, Claims & Mediation, Information Services, Insurance & Medical Services, and Judicial.  Each department is under the supervision of a director and is organized into one or more operational divisions.

Mr. Cannon previously worked for the Municipal Association of South Carolina as Director of Intergovernmental Relations and the International City/County Management Association as Director of Fund and Membership Development.  He also served in management positions in city and county government in North and South Carolina. He has served on the International Association of Industrial Accidents Boards and Commissions and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way Association of South Carolina.  

He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned Bachelor of Political Science and Master of Public Administration degrees and is a graduate of the Senior Executive Institute of the University of Virginia, the South Carolina Executive Institute and Leadership South Carolina.   

Melissia Ford graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts in French prior to entering the legal profession.  She was a litigation paralegal for more than 15 years with extensive experience in medical malpractice, personal injury and products liability working with defense attorneys.  She earned her national certification through the National Association of Legal Assistants in 2007.  She was a member and officer of the South Carolina Upstate Paralegal Association from 2003 - 2013 and was recognized as the Paralegal of the Year in 2008. 

Melissia recently joined AWR a division of Veritext Legal Solutions in March 2021 as the Eastern South Carolina's Account Executive where she utilizes her extensive legal experience to assist legal professionals in implementing advanced technology with their depositions and legal services throughout the litigation of their cases.
