Andrew Radeker
Drew Radeker is a shareholder in the firm of Harrison, Radeker & Smith, P.A., where he concentrates his practice in civil litigation, with a particular emphasis on real property litigation, false arrest cases, constitutional/civil rights and free speech cases, consumer protection cases, appeals, and mortgage foreclosure cases (representing debtors and homeowners as well as creditors and lenders).
Drew's work has also included representing clients in criminal defense matters, defamation (slander and libel) cases, wrongful death and personal injury cases, and fraud and misrepresentation cases. He has been a presenter at continuing legal education seminars, including the Master-in-Equity Bench/Bar CLE.
Drew regularly appears before South Carolina circuit courts in both jury and non-jury matters, with cases across the state. He has practiced before the South Carolina Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for South Carolina, the United States Bankruptcy Court for South Carolina, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, as well as in magistrate's courts and municipal (city and town) courts.
Drew was admitted to the South Carolina Bar on November 14, 2005 and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court of South Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He graduated from the College of Charleston in 2001 and from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2005. Brian Boger
Brian was born and raised in New Mexico until his family was relocated to France and then Germany when his father was in the U.S. Army. When his father retired from the Army, Brian's family returned to his parents' home state of North Carolina. Following a few years in Winston-Salem, his parents moved to Alexandria, Virginia, where Brian attended and graduated from high school.
Brian attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate career. After graduating from the University of Virginia in 1973, Brian attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. Brian graduated law school in 1976 and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar that same year. Once admitted, Brian immediately began his legal career by practicing with a small trial practice firm. Early in his legal career, Brian handled divorce cases, automobile accidents, criminal matters, and general civil litigation. The variety of law that Brian was exposed to in his early years as an attorney has been an asset for both Brian and the clients he represents.
Brian began his own private practice in 1979 and has handled thousands of cases spanning a wide array of types of law. Brian brings over four decades of experience, energy, and passion to the cases he handles. He has been successful in winning cases against banks, mortgage companies, credit card companies, and collection agencies engaging in unlawful debt collection practices. Brian has also handled thousands of real estate closings in his career-the firm has closed over 22,000 real estate transactions in the past four decades-and understands the intricacies of loan documents executed during a real estate closing.
As a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, Brian is passionate about empowering his clients with knowledge about legal issues and consumer protection laws. Since 2002, Brian has dedicated a substantial portion of his legal practice on consumer protection law such as foreclosures, predatory lending, unfair debt collection, and identity theft.

Brian is an active member of the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Association for Justice, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the National Association of Consumer Advocates. As a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice, he was appointed as a member of the Board of Governors as the chairman of the Real Estate Section. Following this appointment, Brian served as the first member of the Board of Governors to head the committee for Consumer Law, and served in this capacity for seven years.
Brian enjoys staying active in his spare time, and participates in a number of sports activities ranging from offshore fishing, tennis, boxing, and bocce ball. Brian has also written two fiction novels-Southern Fate, released in 2011, and Champagne Friday, released in 2018. Brian is currently working on his third novel, which is in the editing stage.

David Maxfield
Dave Maxfield runs a boutique consumer protection practice in
Columbia, South Carolina. He’s the three-time Chairman of the Consumer
Law section of the South Carolina Bar and the Past President of the Richland
County Bar Association, South Carolina’s largest with over 1900 members.
He has represented thousands of individual consumers in cases against banks,
credit reporting agencies, and insurance companies, obtaining a verdict of over
$480,000 in a furnisher credit reporting case exclusive of fees, numerous
six-figure settlements, and in 2019 concluded a vehicle churning class action
with total settlement value exceeding $21 million.
A self-described “Systems Geek,” Dave became obsessed years ago
with how law firms might use Lean methods and technologies pioneered by the
manufacturing world to run more profitable practices. In 2018, with
co-author Larry Port, Dave wrote the ABA top-selling book, The Lean Law
Firm , a manual for translating lean and agile methods into a simple,
month-by-month template that law firms can use to become more profitable.
Besides co-hosing The Lean Law Firm podcast, Dave consults with other law firms
to help them transform their practices through Lean methods. Dave also
consults with tech providers to make products more useful for lawyers,
particularly in data visualization.
As an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina
School of Law, Dave teaches both Consumer Protection Law and “The Lean Law Firm
Lab” classes. Dave has also taught over 100 Continuing Legal Education
(CLE) programs to other lawyers and speaks in the media and to law students on
issues affecting consumers both locally and nationally, and frequently trains
other lawyers on technology, and was a speaker at the ABA Techshow in 2011,
2012, 2013 and 2017. Articles by and about him have appeared in South Carolina

Donald Beatty
Justice Donald W. “Don” Beatty is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He attended public schools in Spartanburg County and is a cum laude graduate of South Carolina State University. After his active duty military service as a commissioned officer, Justice Beatty continued his education and earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University Of South Carolina School Of Law, Columbia, South Carolina.
Admitted to the practice of law in South Carolina in 1979, Justice Beatty began his legal career by working for the Neighborhood Legal Assistance Program, thus fulfilling a personal commitment to use his legal training to benefit those who could not afford paid legal representation. Following his tenure with the Neighborhood Legal Assistance Program, he established a private practice in his home town, Spartanburg, South Carolina. During this time, Justice Beatty maintained a commitment to public service with his election to Spartanburg City Council, later moving to the state level with his election to the South Carolina House of Representatives. His dedication to his community led to his service on the Piedmont Legal Services Board of Directors, Spartanburg Residential Development Corporation, Southside Neighborhoods Association Partnership, Boys and Girls Club, BB&T Advisory Board, BMW minority Advisory Board/BMW Construction Project, the Commission On Continuing Legal Education, Access To Justice Commission, the Sentencing Reform Commission and many community organizations intent on uplifting our community. Justice Beatty also finds time to appear at various schools and often speaks to youth groups.
Justice Beatty has received numerous awards for community service and leadership; among them are, Profile in Leadership Award, Honorary Doctor of Laws, Living Legend Award, Superior Achievement Award from the Donald James Sampson Chapter of the National Bar Association, and the Vision Award from the South Carolina Business Network.
During his tenure in the South Carolina General Assembly he served as a member of The House of Representatives Ethics Committee, the Medical, Military, Public and Municipal affairs Committee and the Judiciary Committee. In addition, he served as Vice-Chairman and Chairman-elect of the South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus.
After five years of distinguished service in the South Carolina General Assembly, he was elected to the Circuit Court in 1995 where he served as a trial judge until he was elevated to the Court of Appeals in 2003. In 2007, Justice Beatty was elected as an Associate Justice for the South Carolina Supreme Court.
In May 2016, Justice Beatty was elected by the South Carolina General Assembly to become the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Carolina. He began serving as Chief Justice on January 1, 2017.

James Chellis
James E. Chellis is the son of the late Converse A. Chellis, Jr., and Adurline Tompkins Chellis. He was born in Summerville, in 1951. He is married to the A'delle Hennet Chellis. Judge Chellis and his wife have two children, Adrian Chellis Wood and the Rev. E. Rossiter Chellis, and six grandsons.
Judge Chellis attended the public schools of Summerville. He graduated high school from Porter-Gaud School in 1970. He attended the University of South Carolina on a grant-in-aid for swimming and graduated 1973 (BA-Intensive Major English). He was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. In 1977, he received a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina, School of Law. He returned to Summerville where he began his 35 years of general practice until his appointment as Master in Equity for Dorchester County.
Judge Chellis has been an active member of the Summerville community, including re-activation of and service with the Summerville Jaycees (President, 1979). He was a member of the Lion Club, the Sertoma Club, served as a Director of the Summerville Dorchester Chamber of Commerce. He served on the Detmold Base Line Committee for the Town of Summerville, which led to the passage of a Town Ordinance establishing surveying standards for delineating the historic boundaries of Detmold's Plan of New Summerville, 1832. He served on the Board of Trustees for Pinewood Preparatory School, and coached various youth sports teams while his children participated in those activities. He is a Member of the Gamecock Club, and The USC Association of Lettermen.
Judge Chellis participated in the organization of the Dorchester County Public Defender Corporation. He is a member of the Dorchester County Bar and the South Carolina Bar. In private practice, he was a member of the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.
Judge Chellis actively participates in the United Methodist Church. He is a member of Bethany United Methodist Church of Summerville. He is a lay delegate to the South Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. He has served as a Trustee, member and chairman of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee, long range planning, and three building committees. He served as a youth confirmation mentor many years, and has led a number of Bible studies.

Leslie Peters
Born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina, Leslie completed her undergraduate degree at Anderson University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2013 with a B.A. in Communications (focusing primarily on professional writing) and a minor in music performance.
Immediately after graduating from Anderson University, Leslie relocated to Columbia, South Carolina to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law. While attending law school, Leslie acted as the Community Outreach Chairperson for South Carolina Against Human Trafficking, a student-led organization with a primary objective of helping victims of human trafficking reacclimate into society and readjust into society after breaking free from trafficking. During her time in law school, Leslie was also a ghostwriter for an educational novel focusing on different forms of human trafficking in various parts of the world.
Leslie has been an Associate Attorney at the Boger Law Firm since May of 2017 and focuses primarily on real estate transactions, conducting hundreds of closings for home purchases, refinances, and home equity lines of credit each year. Leslie is particularly passionate about easing the fears of first-time homebuyers as they make their way through the closing process for the first time. From pre-contract to post-closing, Leslie strives to ensure that each of her clients leaves the closing table with a thorough understanding of their rights and responsibilities as homeowners.
Leslie is also committed to assisting individuals who are facing foreclosure, and is passionate about assisting clients who find themselves wading through some of the toughest situations that they will ever face in life. Leslie strives to help struggling clients get back on track and has actively assisted the firm in helping clients obtain loan modifications, short sale approval and, in rare circumstances with egregious lender/servicer conduct, an outright release of their mortgage. Leslie also assists clients with other consumer advocacy issues such as credit reporting issues and unfair debt collection.
Leslie has been an active member of the South Carolina Bar since her admittance in May of 2017, and has been practicing law in Columbia ever since. In May of 2020, Leslie was admitted to the North Carolina Bar.
In her spare time, Leslie enjoys woodworking, and has been crafting hand-turned ink pens on a wood lathe for over a decade. Additional hobbies include painting, sewing, cross-stitching, needlepoint, embroidery, crochet, and knitting. Leslie is also a classically trained violinist, and has been playing the instrument for over twenty years.

Reginald Corley
REGINALD (REGGIE) P. CORLEY graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University and then completed his Juris Doctorate at the University of South Carolina School of Law. He has centered his practice on the default mortgage and real estate industries, representing mortgage lenders and servicers, title insurance companies, government agencies, and government-sponsored enterprises in mortgage foreclosure, bankruptcy, creditor rights litigation, and real estate-related actions throughout South Carolina. Mr. Corley frequently speaks at onsite training sessions and conferences for banks, lenders, and mortgage servicers throughout the country. Stephen Spitz
Stephen Spitz graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law. Thomas Cooper
Thomas W. Cooper, Jr., was born on May 20, 1941, to T.W. Cooper, an electrician and automotive mechanic and the late Elizabeth Jeter Cooper, post mistress of the Town of Mayesville, South Carolina.
He grew up in Mayesville, a small farming community in eastern Sumter county. He completed high school in 1959 and entered the freshmen class at USC that fall. At the end of the fall semester of his sophomore year, illness interrupted his college education (he was sick of school). In January of 1961, he took a job in a furniture factory in Sumter and worked diligently at that job until August of that year during which time his salary rose meteorically from $1.00 to $1.03 per hour (as a result of a minimum wage increase). He left that job in August of 1961 with callouses on both hands and with an enhanced appreciation of the value of a college education. He graduated from USC in May of 1963 with a B.A. degree in history.
He took a job as a English teacher in the public schools of Clarendon county. He worked there until 1968 when he was engaged to marry Margaret Barringer Bland. He left classroom teaching and took a job in school administration in the public schools of Sumter county. After two years in school administration, he entered the USC School of Law in the fall of 1970. He commuted to law school while his wife worked as a teacher in the public schools of Sumter county.
Following his graduation from law school in 1973, he joined Billy Coffey in the practice of law in Manning, South Carolina. In 1974 he was made a partner in the firm which eventually expanded to Coffey, Cooper, Chandler & DuRant with offices in Manning and Surfside Beach. He remained as a partner with the firm until his election to the Bench.
He was elected as Circuit Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit in February of 1992 and served in that capacity until his retirement in September of 2006. As a Circuit Judge, he served on the Advisory Committee, Ad Hoc Rules Committee, and Commission on Judicial Conduct. In retirement, he continues to remain active, part-time, by holding court one week per month. Judge Cooper has been active in church work as a member of the Presbyterian Church since his youth. He grew up in the Presbyterian Church of Mayesville. In the Presbyterian Church at Manning, he has served as Clerk of the Session, member of the choir and a teacher of an adult Sunday school class there.
He is an avid but inept golfer and bird hunter, an obedient husband, a proud father, and a mesmerized grandfather. Margaret is an accomplished grandmother and gardener and is actively involved in church and volunteer work. His son Bland is married to the former Liza Langston of Charlotte. Bland is an Agronomist for Competitions of the PGA Tour. He and Liza reside in Sumter with their three sons: Langston, William, and Sumter. They attend The First Presbyterian Church in Sumter. His daughter Judy is married to Bert G. (Skip) Utsey III, an attorney and partner at Peters Murdaugh Parker Eltzroth & Detrick, PA. Judy is a graduate of USC (Bachelor's Degree) and Winthrop (Master's). Judy and Skip reside in Charleston with their son Thomas and daughter Margaret Elizabeth (Maggie). Judy is an elder in the Presbyterian Church of Manning.

W. Porter
Haigh Porter was born in Florence in 1934. He was the son of James Henning Porter, Jr. and Mamie Haigh Porter. He is married to Kathryn Elizabeth Green and has two daughters, Mary Devereaux Porter and Margaret P. Stanley (husband E.H. "Chip" Stanley Jr.)
Judge Porter attended public schools in Florence. He received his B.S. in Biology from the University of the South, better known as Sewanee. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1965 and received his Doctorate of Humanities from Francis Marion University in 2011.
Judge Porter served in the U.S. Army Reserves and worked as a supervisor in the hospitality industry before attending the school of law. After admission the SC Bar, Judge Porter practiced in Florence. In the early years, his practice focused on real estate, corporate and family court matters. Since 2004, he has primarily served as a special referee.
In 2006, Judge Porter received the Ralph King Anderson Jr. Award in recognition of dedicated community service.
Judge Porter served on Florence City Council in the 1980's and as mayor of Florence from 1991-1995. He is a life member of St. John's Episcopal Church having served on the Vestry and as Senior Warden. Judge Porter has also served on various local advisory boards. He is presently the chairman of the Grants committee of the Drs. Bruce and Lee Foundation. He is also a trustee of the University of South Carolina Educational Foundation.
