Providing Legal Assistance Following A Natural Disaster

June 30, 2021


Hurricane season is upon us and this course will provide you with information you need to help your neighbors and yourself following a disaster, including instruction on the FEMA process and common legal issues victims face with employment, housing, insurance, and scams.  Attendees will be required to sign a form confirming their commitment to assist low-income victims following a disaster in their area by volunteering to answer questions on the Disaster Hotline, by providing advice and assistance at Disaster Recovery Centers, or by providing further legal representation in addressing disaster-related legal issues.

 

Limited to 65 attendees.

 

This seminar is a basic to intermediate level program. 

This program qualifies for 6.0 MCLE

SC Supreme Court Commission on CLE Course #217602

 


The South Carolina Bar is an accredited CLE provider in South Carolina only. Attorneys are responsible for seeking their own credit in other jurisdictions.
